Job Description

As the first face our patients see, we are looking for dependable and responsible individuals who can keep the front desk running smoothly. Must have an energetic, team player attitude with a focus on excellent customer service! Customer service and a positive attitude are of utmost importance in this role. We can train any candidate for this role, but a positive genuine attitude with our customers can not be taught.....it must be a core characteristic. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing an exceptional experience for our patients and referring physician offices.

Compensation:

$17 - $19 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Greet, check in, check out patients, and direct them appropriately
  • Schedule appointments, and collect copay, deductible, and coinsurance for new or existing patients in accordance with payer policies
  • Answer and route phone calls in a professional manner; provide answers when possible and personalize call contents to patient
  • Communicate respectfully and efficiently with all team members regarding patient portal or phone call requests/questions
  • Document communication appropriately in EHR
  • Ensures patient insurance information is updated and entered correctly in EHR
  • Check patients in and out of the clinic and initiate any required forms or paperwork to be completed on iPad
  • Schedule new patients/existing patients and/or work with patients to reschedule existing appointments to better suit the patient or clinician's needs
  • Performs other tasks and related work as required
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of customer service required, hospital or outpatient clinical office preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of patient medical insurance policies and procedures
  • Family practice, orthopedics, pain management, or surgery scheduling experience preferred
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • EHR Experience required
