JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Sales & Marketing - Global will be responsible for leading the property level commercial strategy efforts with emphasis on sales & marketing. The incumbent is a thought partner and collaborator with its commercial counterparts at AAH, i.e., Revenue Management, Marketing, Finance, and work closely with the property representatives. 

Salary range $101,529 $116,700) w/bonus

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years of experience with direct sales in a luxury hotel, resort or Brand. 
  • At least 8 years of experience partnering directly with American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts managing the annual marketing plan and direct sales channels to optimize revenue potential. 
  • At least 8 years of experience partnering directly with Virtuoso Travel managing the annual marketing plan and direct sales channels to optimize revenue potential. 
  • At least 8 years of experience pricing suite product offerings in a luxury asset. 
  • At least 5 years of experience managing the luxury wholesale segment domestically & internationally, with deep understanding of contracting, product offering and price strategy & positioning.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing Tour Connection partnership agreement and thorough knowledge of optimizing presence in that channel. 
  • Four degree/diploma or equivalent additional experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for achieving annual revenue goals within assigned market segment and effectively manages assigned sales budget and costs.
  • Implements marketing initiatives to support sales strategies and activities within budgeted dollars and in partnership with AAH’s Marketing team.
  • Develops and executes topline revenue strategies for the direct sales efforts including Group, Transient, Domestic Wholesale, and Leisure. 
  • Involved in the price positioning and comp set analysis to identify fair market share among luxury competitors. 
  • Pursues partnerships, promotions, and joint ventures through all mediums in tandem with the marketing team.
  • Contributes and participates in the annual budget process and ongoing forecasting initiatives to maximize asset performance.
  • Reviews and analyzes sources of business and market segments and ensure top line revenue is maximized; deploys appropriate initiatives when needed.
  • Develops and executes an effective sales strategy to identify business opportunities.
  • Travels primarily to engage with key stakeholders, travel agents, business development managers and consumers to educate them on the Brand.
  • Pursues appropriate marketing and advertising opportunities that represent property goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
