We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Middle School ELA Long Term Substitute to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Middle School ELA curriculum and a proven track record of success in teaching students in grades 6-8. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing rigorous and engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback. The candidate will also collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities

• Teach ELA to middle school students in grades 6-8
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date on best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Experience teaching ELA to middle school students in grades 6-8 is preferred
• Ability to develop and implement rigorous and engaging lesson plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff

Hours and Pay

• Monday - Friday (with every other Friday OFF)
• Hourly rate: $22 - $28
