Company Description
Eagle View Eye Care, a family friendly company serving the eye care needs of the greater Oakwood community, is currently seeking an Optician. This position is full time, Monday - Friday 5 days a week. Eagle View Eye Care strongly believes in providing its team members with an enjoyable work environment and great work life balance. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and work together with other members of our outstanding team. Our full time staff enjoys PTO (paid time off), holiday pay, 401K with employer match, Healthcare Reimbursement, and more.
Job Description
Responsibilities of an optician include:
  • Greeting patients
  • Selling eyewear
  • Adjusting and repairing eyewear
  • Measuring glasses prescriptions with a lensometer
  • Inputting and tracking inventory
  • Assisting patients with eyewear frame selection
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments
  • Verifying vision insurance prior to patient's arrival at clinic
  • Fabricating eyeglasses lenses to fit a patient's frame
  • Checking in patients in for appointments, processing payments at the conclusion of patient visit
  • Ordering contact lenses
  • Maintaining cleanliness within the office, ensuring office supplies are fully stocked and office is
  • organized/functional
  • Answering any and all miscellaneous questions and/or concerns of patients when need arises
Qualifications
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED at the minimum. 1-2 years of College in the field of science is preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience preferred but not required.
REQUIREMENTS: Computer skills, customer service skills, ability to stay late or come in early if needed.
