Job Description

At the heart of our therapeutic practice is the STAR Frame of Reference, which synthesizes the principles of Sensory Integration therapy (as conceptualized by Ayres), with DIR/Floortime™ . This innovative approach allows us to provide specialized support to a diverse client population. We support many different populations, from autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder (SPD), and anxiety, to learning differences, auditory processing differences, motor coordination differences, and various developmental, learning, mental health, and behavioral differences.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our mission to deliver exceptional care. The successful candidate will: participate in Multi-Disciplinary and one-to-one evaluations; provide individual and group therapy services; write reports, document progress in treatment notes, educate and coach families with the knowledge and strategies they need to support their loved ones; support self-advocacy and educate/advocate with external agencies; communicate directly with physicians and other external healthcare providers; provide therapeutic supports for neurodivergent populations and their families; be comfortable working in a neurodivergent affirming setting. 

The role demands a genuine passion for learning and a desire to remain on the cutting edge of research and practice in the sensory integrative field. To support you in this endeavor, we provide extensive mentorship and supervision, fostering an environment where continuous professional development is not just encouraged but facilitated.

Our ideal candidate brings to the table at least five years of post-registration experience, along with considerable AAC experience. Additional training that would be advantageous includes: the Rapid Prompting Method or Spelling 2 Communicate, and/or Natural Language Acquisition, SCERTS, iLS, the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, Trust Based Relational Intervention, and Circle of Security.

Salary offered will be according to ability to work independently, related to relevant experience and post-professional training.
