Job Description:

The JAAW Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Scrum Manager to join our team and support the development of the Integrated Battle Control Station (IBCS) system. As the Scrum Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of agile methodologies, facilitating effective collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technology and mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities:

- Act as the Scrum Master for one or multiple software development teams working on the Integrated Battle Control Station system.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine user stories, prioritize product backlogs, and ensure alignment with project goals and customer expectations.
- Support the development and maintenance of project roadmaps, sprint plans, and release schedules, ensuring a well-defined scope and timeline for team deliverables.
- Coach, mentor, and guide the development teams in Agile practices, encouraging self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and help create a culture of transparency, accountability, and iterative development within the teams.
- Monitor team progress, track key metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, addressing risks and issues in a timely manner.
- Foster a productive and positive team environment by promoting open communication, constructive feedback, and effective conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to improve cross-team coordination, identify dependencies, and facilitate effective release planning and deployment.
- Keep up-to-date with Agile methodologies and industry trends, ensuring the adoption of best practices and suggesting process improvements.
- Support the adoption and implementation of Agile tools and software, ensuring its effective usage across the development teams.
- Contribute to documentation efforts and knowledge sharing activities to ensure the transfer of learnings and best practices within the organization.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) or equivalent agile certifications.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar position, preferably working with software development teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and best practices, particularly Scrum.
- Experience leading and facilitating Agile ceremonies and promoting agile ways of working in a team.
- Familiarity with software development practices, processes, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and empower development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with the capacity to identify and mitigate risks or issues.
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic environment.
- Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) may be required for certain positions.
