Job Summary: Maintains and is responsible for daily operations of the pharmacy department. Assists Director of Pharmacy (DOP) in planning, developing, organizing and directing the operation of the Pharmacy Department in a way that contributes to the goals and mission of the Brattleboro Retreat as well as meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. The position requires contact with the DOP, administrator, medical staff, nursing service, hospital staff and non-hospital personnel (vendors, auditors, partners). Is available for on-call response to hospital urgent matters during off hours or delegates to staff pharmacist. Is available for shift coverage if needed during staffing shortages, call outs, staff vacations or time off. May be registered as Pharmacist in Charge with Vermont OPR. Ensures appropriate staffing is scheduled and shares responsibility for shift coverage equally with staff pharmacist(s).

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
2. Must be eligible to apply for Vermont State licensure from the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy.
3. At least two years of experience in a hospital setting with management and supervisory responsibility preferred.

1. A minimum of 5 years pharmacy experience.
