Job Description

The Ford Agency is working with a local transportation agency to find a Legal Filing Project Assistant to support their General Counsel team with a large data migration and management project. The Assistant will be responsible for creating and implementing a filing system for onsite and electronic storage of various legal documents. An excellent opportunity for technically savvy candidate with immediate availability.
Responsibilities Include:

Sort through documents to find important and essential information
Create and implement a filing process for onsite and electronic storage of legal documents
Review all legal documentation and determine filing order of documents

Qualifications Include:

Bachelor's Degree, preferred
2 years' of legal or paralegal experience, preferably within corporate mergers, acquisitions, contracts or related areas
Previous experience creating and implementing filing processes
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong eye for legal documents such as subpoenas and discovery

4-6 week Assignment

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
