Summary The goal of the Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) is to coordinate appointments, ensure billable events are documented, medications are updated and minor first aid is applied up to their licensing. They will work with the Nurse Practitioner and provide feedback to staff and clients. They should be efficient and well-spoken with the ability to create relationships with a diverse population. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
Schedule Medical Appointments with the Nurse Practitioner(s)
Review/Maintain Medical Records
Review all client encounters (all completed appointments need documentation)
Clean up any unnecessary/opened notes
Maintain Medication Refill Tracking
Maintain Medication History Tracking
Maintain Medical SOPs
Order Medical and office supplies: Create and maintain inventory for:
Medical Supplies
Office Supplies
Work with executives to set goals and objectives
Review weekly/monthly expenses within the budget limit provided by Finance
Provide informative material for patients.
Work with Legal to ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
Assist with Employee TB Testing
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Medical and Clinical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures; knowledge of Clinical coding is strongly desired
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Positive Problem-Solving Skills
Excellent analytical and time-management skills
Organizational and multitasking skills
Valid Driver's License
CPR/First AID/Defibrillator required
SUD Experience preferred
1-2 years' experience in the field preferred.
Negative TB test results within past year
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
Heavy frequency of computer keyboarding
Heavy frequency of viewing a computer monitor
Requirements:
Able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
Must be able to bend, stoop and kneel
Must be able to see, hear, and speak clearly
May be required to work weekends or holidays
