Job Title: Student Director

Status: Full Time, avg. 45 hrs/week

️‍ Job Summary

The Student Director provides leadership and direction for our church's middle and high school students. They design the student experience, connect people relationally, and show our heart to love people the same way God loves us with excellence.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years of equivalent ministry experience.

Responsibilities

LEADERSHIP

Provide strong leadership and direction for student needs across our church.

• Lead leaders to develop a team that can grow your ministry area. 
• Ensure best practices, coaching, and evaluation of your leaders.
• Carry the mission and vision for success in your department, connecting the dots on why we do what we do.
• Identify potential leaders via the five core qualities in our leadership playbook. 
• Model, celebrate, and correct behavior to strengthen our culture through our values and serve standards.
• Attend monthly Team Nights and oversee training breakouts for team development.
• Attend staff, ministry, and 1:1 meetings with your direct report for communication, development, collaboration, and synergy.
• Set, measure, and accomplish SMART goals for Student Ministry under Community Church’s annual strategic goals.

ADMINISTRATION

Love is in the details. Ensure we’re a good steward of the resources entrusted to us. 

• Annually request and oversee the student ministry budget, spending, and expensing.
• Ensure effective onboarding processes and team member experiences for your ministry area.
• Ensure department alignment and use of CCB within our ministry strategy.
• Measure and analyze what’s working and what matters.
• Establish engagement goals, track analytics, report on metrics, and compare goals to actuals.

COMMUNICATION

Clarity Consistency = Confidence.

• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with leaders to develop, support, and cascade important communication, ensuring they do the same. 
• Collaborate with Communications and Creative to create a cohesive approach to recurring events throughout the ministry year.
• Collaborate with your ministry leaders for ideas, strategies, problem-solving, etc.
• And, of course, everyone’s favorite…other duties as assigned!
