Summary/Objective
The Mechanical Designer position designs mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings.
Essential Job Functions
Essential Functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform,

1. Design from conceptual design phase through construction.
2. Attend meetings with clients and take diligent notes.
3. Attend job site walks to observe existing conditions and construction progress.
4. Basis of design writing.
5. Specification writing.
6. Understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
7. Working knowledge of the codes & standards
8. Ability to read construction documents.
9. Ability to design mechanical systems
10. Ability to design plumbing systems
11. Ability to perform Mechanical Engineering Calculations
12. Provide responses to Requests for Information (RFIs)
13. Provide Submittal reviews
14. Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.
15. Ability to climb ladders and survey construction sites.
16. And all other tasks assigned.
