We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in our financial operations, contributing to the overall success of our fast-growing organization. Our ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for the technology and finance industry.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
2. Performing detailed variance analysis and providing insightful explanations for fluctuations in financial performance.
3. Completing account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Reviewing financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
5. Preparing and filing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
6. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
7. Collaborating with the accounting team to improve financial procedures and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
8. Performing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in accounting or related field.
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
4. Proficiency in month-end close, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
5. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
7. Experience with accounting software and databases.
8. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
11. Passion for the technology industry and staying updated on the latest trends.
