What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus Group’s Strategy and Transformation Team is looking for a Change Management Consultant to work alongside senior clients to provide support in various areas including management, strategy, and operations. You will be supporting client’s change management strategy and methodology to implement several change initiatives. You will provide executive briefings on the OCM activities ad status and provide the day-to-day execution of OCM activities. on creating an environment of collaboration across stakeholder groups and facilitate cross-functional working sessions. You will advise client leadership on OCM strategy and method, assist with techniques on managing resistance to change and advise on ad-hoc topics such as Trusted Advisor and Culture Change. The objective of your work is to help the organization create an optimized process and process environment which will improve the overall function(s) of our client’s working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support our clients seeking guidance during an organizational change. Ensure that stakeholder groups across the organization are informed, supportive, and ready for future changes.
  • Work may include conducting cultural assessments, proposing changes to organizational design, and proposing and implementing improvements to processes, as well as meeting design and facilitation.
  • Consult with leadership and stakeholders in developing strategic communications, creating communication plans, provide leadership coaching and training, organizational branding initiatives, and implement organizational effectiveness maturity models.
  • Lead the day-to-day organizational change management efforts for a commercial clients current strategy
  • Work with our change management client to assimilate in order to support their ongoing role.
  • Refine change management strategy and method as new information is available
  • Develop integrated communications and change management (CCM) plans to support implementation of various change initiatives for Client, identified by executive leadership.
  • For each initiative’s CCM Plan:
    • Assist Client’s Marketing and Communications (MarCom) with developing briefing decks with core change management messaging
    • Identify stakeholders and conduct stakeholder analysis
    • Create implementation activities that allow stakeholders to provide input, understand the changes and be prepared for the change
    • Assist Client’s MarCom with development of communication artifacts such as executive messages, weekly articles, graphics, slack posts, etc. as outlined in the CCM plans
    • Measure success of adoption and report results
  • Develop executive briefing decks to provide status updates on and results of change management initiatives within the organization
  • Join and participate in various change management planning meetings with designated leaders and various stakeholder audiences within
  • Update weekly team report
  • Attend bi-weekly client MarCom team meetings
  • Lead and drive agenda for the client’s bi-weekly Change Management Council meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Requirements: Undergraduate Degree in related field
  • (10) years of experience in a combination of change management, communication, and organizational effectiveness
  • A self-starter with an exceptionally strong work ethic, curiosity and drive
  • A growth mindset with a willingness to build subject matter expertise in key focus areas and a desire to share what you know
  • Consistent track record developing, measuring and demonstrating adoption of data-centric change metrics 
  • Organized seamlessly managed strategic tasks (developing strategic plans, briefing client executives on recommendations) as well as tactical tasks (preparing PowerPoint briefings, recording meeting outcomes) as needed
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • An eagerness to engage our communities with writing, speaking and engagement on topics of strategic importance
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Organized with natural agility to move seamlessly from strategic tasks (developing strategic plans, briefing client executives on recommendations) to tactical tasks (preparing PowerPoint briefings, recording meeting outcomes) as needed
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and a gift for creating briefings and documents that tell a compelling, relevant and data-driven story
  • Ability to lead and facilitate others to move toward a common vision or goal 
  • Proven experience supporting the design, development, delivery and management of strategic communications 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing enterprise wide OCM programs for large organizations with numerous stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in consulting, including government consulting a plus
  • Experience leading change initiatives in professional services firms and/or government
  • Experience working with senior level clients
  • Change management, PROSCI or CCMP Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or facilitation certifications

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen
  • Must reside in the DC Metro area (Washington, Virginia, Maryland) due to the occasional need to work on the client site

The minimum starting salary for this position is $114,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
