Reserve (PRN) - Pharmacist - Pharmacy

Position Summary

Performs in a support capacity to other healthcare professionals and patients to ensure medication orders are reviewed and processed and medications are handled in accordance with best practices throughout the medication management process.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of pharmaceutical principles and skills
• Evaluate and process medication orders and dispense medications
• Consult and communicate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients; serve as a resource
• Pharmacokinetic monitoring and drug therapy modification
• Ensure that medications are reasonably available to patients at the time needed
• On-call responsibility outside of scheduled work hours
• Oversight of daily activities in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy
• Assist in oversight and maintenance of drug storage locations

Position Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Licensure from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
