**Please note that Square Scullery operates as a tip-pooled restaurant to provide financial stability across all positions, through all seasons. This means that all tips are shared among all team members, including servers, hosts, bartenders and kitchen staff, then allocated / distributed by job position via "points system".

Position Overview:

We're seeking food hosts / hostesses who are dependable, customer-service-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our tight-knit team, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them warmly and ensuring they have a memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. While our current hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 4-10 pm, we'll soon be expanding our hours to include both lunch, and weekend late night hours plus also hosting fun special events, like drag brunches, to offer even more opportunities!

Available Shifts:

We are currently hiring Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal & Trained Call-in / Fill-in Food Runners & Bussers for the follow shifts:

• Wednesday - Friday: Lunch Shifts (coming soon!)
• Saturday: Brunches (coming soon!)
• Wednesday- Saturday: Dinner Shifts

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet & seat guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments to optimize seating capacity and wait times.
• Take reservations over the phone, and in-person, and enter them accurately into the reservation system.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient seating and service.
• Provide guests with accurate wait times and inform them of any specials or promotions.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organized lobby area, including managing the bathrooms, waiting list and seating area.
• Assist with answering phone calls, taking messages, and providing general information about the restaurant.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train enthusiastic go-getters who are willing to learn.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly & outgoing customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, while remaining calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills to comfortably learn our reservation management software
