Job Summary: The PVC Field Service Supervisor oversees the field service technicians who perform on-site routine services including installation, preventive maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of Platinum’s products. Oversees the scheduling and training of PVC’s field service technicians. The Field Service Supervisor reports to the Service Manager to ensure that all job duties of the Service Technician, Policies and Procedures are being performed and that the Platinum Way is continuously being executed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The PVC Field Service Supervisor assumes responsibility for overseeing the daily workflow of the Field Technicians as it relates to installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of Platinum’s products while maintaining effective communications with fellow team members and clients. The duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill of Platinum products and services.
  • Responsible for providing basic leadership while teaching, coaching and mentoring Team Members
  • Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work
  • Travels onsite to complete service work and monthly preventative maintenance requirements for Platinum’s Vapor Recovery Units, and other products.
  • Directs, coordinates, and performs the job activities in a manner consistent with the company’s goals and objectives, while adhering to all customer field location policies and safety requirements
  • Provides technical support to necessary persons (customers, manufacturers, distributors, etc.) for product installs, troubleshooting and training.
  • Gives support to management with regards to suggestions for improvements on employee performance or company processes.
  • Regularly track and know the locations of assigned Field Technicians.
  • Conduct 90-day, 180 day and Annual Employee Performance Evaluations
  • Presents self in clean, neat, professional manner and wears company uniform (if provided) in its entirety.
  • Inspects, investigates, and troubleshoots equipment for quality control and improvements.
  • Provides job completion field service report details to the customer and Service Manager
  • Prepares, completes and presents Job Safety Analysis prior to commencing work
  • Secures appropriate parts and supplies through designated procurement system
  • Ensures correct inventory is maintained on service vehicle to facilitate field service repairs and complete Work Orders
  • Ensures all appropriate records are maintained and submitted through the appropriate channels timely. Examples include inventory audits, check-out sheets, work orders, timesheets, etc.
  • Communicates with customers to assist The Service Manager in establishing forecasting needs
  • Engages in the company’s vision and seeks to implement processes and establish goals with the company’s vision in mind.
  • Complies with all Safety policies, practices, and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to Safety Manager
  • Maintains cleanliness of the work area and associated equipment.
  • Seeks growth in expanding knowledge and skills through training and education.
  • Communicates questions and concerns to management.
  • Engages in the company’s vision and seeks to implement processes and establish goals with the company’s vision in mind.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Available for 24 hour on-call duty.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent customer support and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, train and work effectively with all team members.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and due diligence when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions, operations and duties.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and due diligence when resolving issues and limiting the risk of future issues.
  • Ability to perform moderate to advanced math skills including, but not limited to, calculations, percentages, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand, climb, twist/turn, push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, reach above shoulder.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm movements.
  • Average close/distance vision necessary in order to record data and operate equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be understood by others.
  • Must be able to hear the various equipment in order to diagnose issues. Driving for extended periods of time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years Electrical background within the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience and knowledge with vapor recovery units or compression is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience managing or leading others in a professional environment
  • Safe Land certified preferred
  • Microsoft Suite experience preferred
  • High School diploma, or equivalent

This position performs tasks or duties that could affect the health or safety of Platinum’s employees or other individuals and has been designated as Safety Sensitive.

Work Environment:

Shop / Field environments – PPE required in specific areas

Monday-Friday 7PM-6AM
