Client location and schedule hours:
Client is located in Brentwood area 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am
Job Responsibilities:
Social History: Female client is an 85 yo widow . She is a smart lady and bit of a socialite as described by her family, being a good conversationalist and very independent. no pets in the house. Has no dementia and can make her own needs known. She will need caregivers who engage well and be attentive to her needs and comfort.
Diagnoses: Bowel incontinence
Goals and Objectives : Change bed linens and wash as needed. Observe her strength and assist with all transfers. Client is very independent, but will need assistance onto and off of the toilet. Assist with depends staying clean and dressing. Ask before helping her for most tasks. She will need help into and out of the shower, but ask what she'd like help with. Light housekeeping, laundry. Vacuum or mop, wipe down bathrooms and kitchen as needed. Take out garbage as needed and weekly to road. Bring in her mail daily. Offer her fluids to keep her hydrated and a straw as she wants or assist with feeding. Encourage her to eat, preparing it and serving it (lack of appetite). Assist with bathing/showering/drying off or offer bed bath as she desires and has strength. In evenings, help her reposition for comfort.
ADL's:
Mobility: She is weight-bearing but cannot walk distances. Uses a walker for short distances and may need transfer chair. Sometimes uses bedside commode. She will need help into and out of a car. Take her on errands as she has the strength.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience as an in-home Caregiver, CNA or related experiences with a loved one of family member
Ability to effectively communicate through written and verbal language
Valid Driver's License and adequate auto insurance
Consent to criminal, elder abuse, motor vehicle and sex offender background checks
Consent to drug and alcohol testing
