Environmental Svcs Mgr FT (80 hours)
Position Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the assigned facility. Has the ability to hire, fire, and discipline.
Demonstrates knowledge of all phases of hospital environmental services, including housekeeping operations, hazardous chemicals, and materials handling, housekeeping chemicals and products, linen center operations, and Infection Control procedures. Oversees the cleaning of all areas in the hospital. Supervises linen deliveries, waste pick-up, and grounds maintenance. Oversees the quality of cleanliness and takes action to correct poor quality.
Qualifications:
Education
Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Preferred: Associate degree
Experience
Required: 5 years of EVS /housekeeping experience in an institutional environmental services department at least 3 years of which were in a healthcare facility.
Preferred: 2 years of progressive supervisory experience
Certifications:
Preferred: Certified Professional Housekeeping (AHA)
