Amentum is currently seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our award winning team. Senior System Administrator Responsibilities Include:
- Customer service and IT support to software development lab in Dahlgren, VA to support Naval Surface Warfare Center development lab.
- Manage multiple priorities from user needs, to upgrade requirements for the lab, to weekly scans, visitor tours and project management tasks.
- Enjoy working with a small team of IT professionals and software engineers to support exciting research-related software work.
- Being available to support Software Lab in Dahlgren, VA between 8-5 M-F with occasional flexibility to work some evening hours approaching inspections, etc. Amentum is a leading global provider of technical and engineering services to government and commercial customers. - Possession or desire to pursue a Comptia Security or equivalent Certification that meets IT Level 2 or ability to obtain within 1 month of start
- 7 or more years' experience in systems administration.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates experience configuring and maintaining Linux and Windows servers and tools in support of software development; to include scripting to automation tasks;
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS: Windows 7, Windows 10, Linux Red Hat, Server 2008, Server 2012-OS, driver, applications, vulnerabilities, security requirements and postures, quarterly STIG updates.
- Ability to interact with corporate and vendor SMEs to solve complex problems, RMF experience, ACAS scanning, build and maintain Linux Systems;
- Experience documenting STIGs to support computer modifications.
- Available to support Software Lab in Dahlgren, VA between 8-5 M-F with occasional flexibility to work some evening hours approaching inspections, etc. Benefits and Perks:
