Area Managers will possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work smart. A typical shift may include training a new employee, meeting with a customer, dropping off supplies, and performing multiple site inspections. The position can vary greatly from day to day.
The position is largely self-directed and requires the Area Manager to be actively cleaning/training for a small portion of each shift.
We currently have second shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM), with occasional (4:00 PM to 12:00 AM) to cover 3rd shift visits.
Job Responsibilities:
Account Managment to retain and strengthen customer relationships
Oversee new building start-ups to launch new accounts
Budget management and contract renewals
Coaching cleaners and building supervisors
Building Inspections within assigned accounts to ensure quality standards
Interview, hire and train employees, both new and existing on a continuing basis
Deliver Discipline and rewards according to our policy manual
Deliveries of cleaning supplies within Berne, Bluffton, and Decatur Indiana
Provide coverage during staff shortages as necessary
Meetings with Operations Manager
Other Projects to improve our workplace
Emergency Phone coverage to manage schedule changes within assigned market
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Account Management with budget oversite
Proven experience as a supervisor managing teams at multiple locations
Ability to Coach and Lead
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
Strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to grow and accept feedback
Possess Driver's License, ability to pass a DMV and criminal background check
Experience in a Janitorial Supervisory role preferred
