Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic is Hiring a Regional VP of Finance Near Tallahassee, FL

TOC is a well renowned orthopedic practice and has been in business for almost 50 years with subspecialties in trauma, foot and ankle, spine, hand, adult reconstruction, pediatrics, pain management, and sports medicine. The practice is located strategically throughout North Florida and South Georgia with 7 regional offices and two Tallahassee campuses. Ancillary endeavors include on site X-ray, MRI, Physical Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Urgent Care Centers, and Orthotics and Prosthetics. TOC fields team physicians for Florida State University (FSU), Florida A&M University (FAMU), and Tallahassee Community College (TCC), as well as numerous area high schools. 

Full-time hybrid position available for a Regional VP of Finance within a private medical practice. Position will provide leadership and coordination of the company's accounting function, including the company's internal control processes to ensure the company's accounting procedures and processes conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Schedule flexibility to include 2-3 days working remotely and 2-3 days working on site in TOC's administrative office located in Tallahassee, FL. 

Essential functions of the position include:

    • Provides analytical support and financial direction to CEO, CFO, Physicians, Operations, and other departments when necessary.
    • Manages financial performance of assigned divisions and perform variance reporting.
    • Leads the development of the regional and divisional budgets.
    • Reviews financial results with division Board, executive leadership, and physicians. 
    • Answers financial questions for physician partners.
    • Assist with development of proformas for new equipment or expansions.
    • Responsible for accurate accounting close on a monthly basis for multiple related companies.
    • Articulates corporate initiatives and develops plans to support them.
    • Maintains ownership of situations when Corporate resources are engaged to ensure satisfactory resolution.
    • Plans, organizes, and communicates with leadership (locally and Corporate)
    • Lead projects as assigned by CFO; including development of project timelines, assignment of task accountability and drives project to successful completion.
    • Manages financial activities and internal control processes across all divisions within the region to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Recommend various personnel actions, including but not limited to performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, time off schedules, and hiring.
    • Perform other duties associated with this position as deemed appropriate. 

Competencies Desired:

    • Must have strong leadership skills, mathematical skills, interpersonal skills, and verbal/written communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and work well under pressure.
    • Must have the ability to travel to various locations required.

Credentials Required:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • At least 5 years experience in accounting or finanical analysis.
  • Master's Degree preferred. 
  • Healthcare or physician experience preferred.
