Job Summary

Torrent is looking for Engineering/Project Manager Intern. Interns will have the opportunity to apply your classroom-learned skills to track data, analyze processes, and recommend solutions for improvement based on the gathered data from our facilities. You'll engage with leaders and associates throughout the site, receive hands-on experience through shadowing & ownership of a meaningful project.

This position is expected to start in-person around 2024 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e., June through August 2024). We ask for a minimum of 10 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs routine engineering tasks using standard engineering practices
• Work with Commercial Operations manager with Monitoring the progress and status of each assigned project as it moves through the process, and acts to problem solve proactively, offers technical advice, and assists other staff to expedite assigned projects, removes obstacles which may cause a project to fall behind schedule.
• Define manufacturing process issues, collect data, analyze facts, implement solutions, and review as needed
• Partner with and influence stakeholders across the organization, such as Operations, Product, and Technology address process related activities.
• Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues to minimize downtime

Minimum Qualification:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Manufacturing or other related field
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to write reports and analyze raw data
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast paced high stress environment.
