Best WesternPonderosa is searching for Part-Time Housekeeping RoomAttendants to join our team.Reportingto the Housekeeping Supervisor, our Room Attendants operate bothindependently and as part of a team, working together with other departments toenhance our customers’ experience by ensuring the property is consistentlyclean and orderly.This position isideal for students, stay-at-home parents who want to take on a part-time role,and anyone else wanting to work for an organization that truly values andappreciates its employees.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains the hotel rooms and building toensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests and associates
• Sets up cleaning carts with supplies, maintainscarts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency andease of cleaning rooms
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls,closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways
• Washes shower walls, tubs, and cleans toiletsand stall walls
• Wipes exposed pipes and cleans mirrors, sinks,and walls to ensure clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms
• Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenitiesand restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest, or is soiledor torn, to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests
• Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile,etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas
• Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures,and wall hangings
• Strips bed of all linens and remakes withfresh linens
• Removes all trash/recycling from rooms
• Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closetdoors, handles, and overhead shelves
• Restocking the guest room supplies (e.g.,hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows)
• Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways
• Inspects door and window locks to ensure theyare in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured orunsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
• Checks lights and remotes to ensure all are inworking order
• Reports any unusual occurrences or requests tothe manager or assistant manager
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteousdemeanor always
• Maintains customers’ privacy
• Maintains a high level of professionalappearance and demeanor
• Must be dependable and on time
• Treat all coworkers with respect
• Adheres to all hotel policies and proceduresas outlined by hotel standards and Federal, State, and Local laws, includingOSHA regulations
• Follows proper procedures in handlinghazardous substances
• Must use appropriate protective equipment asneeded for job task
• Perform laundry attendant duties, whenrequired
• Performs other duties as assigned

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• Fourteen years of age and older -- Fourteenthrough seventeen years of age will have a modified job description provided byManagement
• Ability to work independently and staymotivated
• Exceptional customer service orientation
• Effective prioritization and time managementabilities
• High level of professionalism, speed, andattention to detail
• Basic knowledge of general cleaningprinciples, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaningequipment
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks
• Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, and squatting in the performance of daily activities will be expected, in addition to grasping and repetitive hand movement
• Ability to lift and move 30 lbs. or more
• Knowledge of surrounding areas and localevents
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
