The Enrollment Management department provides prospective and continuing students opportunities for success through a variety of informational and enrollment services. Enrollment services are provided on a continuous basis from the time of the individual's formal entry to Virginia Peninsula Community College, through graduation and beyond. The department supports the instructional programs of the College through transfer credit evaluation, graduation clearance, annual calendar planning, enrollment reporting, and registration. The department also maintains regulatory requirements pertaining to database maintenance, application processing, domicile determination, and academic records management. Through its recruitment and admission services, the department supports educational outreach efforts and promotes the College as a viable education resource in the community, in the workplace, and in the minds of potential students. Finally, the Enrollment Management department provides leadership and/or serves as an important resource to committees across campus and works closely with the Information Technology department to implement and maintain the student information contained within the VCCS Student Information Systems.
The Associate Director of Technology and Operations for Student Success supports data-driven decision making and efficient operations for the Enrollment Management and Student Success division. With an eye toward Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) the Associate Director manages system processes; leverages technology solutions for student success; tests and implements new functionality; trains and supports users; ensures the integrity and accuracy of academic data; produces reports to assist functional/end users in reviewing and maintaining their data while ensuring the security of student data as guided by FERPA. The Associate Director has the knowledge of student records, familiarity with Student Information Systems (e.g. Peoplesoft), Navigate, CRMs and is readily available to assist in the implementation of the enrollment management strategic plan and standard operating procedures. This position plays an integral part in maximizing efficiencies in recruitment, retention, and completion.
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications

Progressively responsible work experience with technological applications and systems to include student information systems and data analysis tools.
Demonstrated multi-year experience in data management, analysis and interpretation and project/process management. Demonstrated experience collecting, cleaning, verifying, and analyzing data.
Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of rules, regulations, and federal and state laws governing retention and release of student records and information.
  • Extensive experience with educational technologies (e.g. Peoplesoft, Navigate, Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of academic and data policies along with understanding of academic calendar and cycles to ensure that data is accurate and appropriate.
  • General knowledge of Strategic Enrollment Management principles and best practices.
Skills
