BAE Systems Microelectronics Engineering is looking for an IC CAD/EDA tools engineer to help support our Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuit design team as we develop novel RF and mixed-signal circuits in small geometry CMOS (<45nm) and cutting-edge SiGe BiCMOS processes. These designs require innovative circuit architectures and active research to meet next-generation performance goals.
Our cutting edge mixed-signal ICs often require high-performance RF/microwave (such as LNAs, mixers, VCOs, baluns, vector modulators) and mixed-signal (ADCs, DACs, Fractional-N PLLs) circuit designs that rely heavily on simulations and verification to meet stringent defense performance requirements in a secure enterprise environment. As such, the candidate is expected to work closely with IT and across disciplines with digital and analog designers in a dynamic tools environment. The candidate should also have considerable expertise in the Linux environment, IC CAD tools, PDKs, and semiconductor foundry capability.
Responsibilities include:
Working with designers and EDA tools vendors to develop flows that to support analog, digital, mixed-signal, and EM simulations, schematic and layout entry, design analysis, and verification.
Writing scripts and utilities to standardize and streamline design flows for improved design quality and efficiency
Maintaining up-to-date technology files and verification decks.
Assisting with Linux system administration and supporting a local computing infrastructure, including performing hardware/software upgrades, enhancements, and configuration changes

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Required Skills & Education:
BSEE required in CS, EE, or CompE fields.
Proficiency in programming including C, C , Perl
Proficiency with Linux shell environment, Linux systems administration
Familiarity with EDA tools: Cadence Virtuoso and SpectreRF/Assura/Calibre; Keysight ADS; Synopsys; Matlab
Understanding of analog/digital/mixed-signal design and technologies
Sharp troubleshooting skills with the demonstrated ability to debug and resolve complex hardware and software problems and communicate solutions
Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Highly responsive and detailed oriented
Proactive mindset that seeks to understand both present and future team needs
Excellent documentation and follow-up skills
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Preferred Skills & Education:
MSEE desired with 1-3 years relevant experience
Software development experience
Proficiency in Verilog and VHDL
IC design and/or EM simulation experience
Experience in advanced BiCMOS or CMOS technologies
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
