The core responsibility of the Solutions Architect role is connecting customers to technology through the SOFTBOT® Platform. The need for automation is rapidly increasing, as is the need to deploy that automation quickly. The Solutions Architect meets directly with existing and potential customers to review issues and opportunities and collaborates to develop effective solutions. The Architect then works with internal product development, project development, and deployment teams to collaborate on requirements. The Solutions Architect needs to constantly learn about an ever-growing set of technologies and have the creativity to apply these technologies to solve real-world problems.

A potential day in the life of SVT’s Solutions Architect:
Collaborate and brainstorm with customers to solve problems
Collaborate with team members on how to tackle new ideas
Define requirements needed to get the job done
Provide support to the sales teams with customer and partner interactions
Help our Product Development team understand what’s trending
Help our Project Development team understand what may be unique to a solution
Work with our Deployment team to make sure they’re experts on the solution that they’re delivering
Provide feedback to Solution Architecture and Services team to refine processes to enable efficiency and decrease customer’s time to solution go-live
Required skills/qualifications:
3 years of demonstrated technical experience in system requirements gathering
2 years of experience with technical solutions and how to apply them
Experience in warehousing, distribution, software systems integration, or manufacturing automation
Experience documenting technical requirements to solve a problem
Experience in stakeholder management and end-user interactions
Creativity to see a problem and think of a new way to solve it
Ability to break down a solution and explain it to others in non-technical terms
Experience working in a team environment with colleagues and customers
Knowledge of business best practices, issues faced, and operations
Experience working in a matrix responsibility environment

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or related military experience
Professional experience in a related role
Direct professional experience as a solutions architect, application engineer, business analyst, or software developer
Experience with continuously learning about advances in automation
Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) documentation and technology concepts
