Current Openings is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Findlay, OH

Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.

Superior Trim Molded Products is looking to add a quality technician that is focused on positively impacting plant quality.

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Various types of visual inspection including, but not limited to, receiving and in-process inspection of product.
  • Channel questions and information from operators, vendors to Quality Assurance Manager
  • Review and disposal of scrap product.
  • In-process inspection of product as well as assisting during receiving inspection.
  • Compile and maintain data on computer database.
  • Basic filing of Quality Department documentation.
  • Generate various Quality Assurance Department reports, letters, etc.
  • Support the corrective action (8-D) team through providing input.
  • Assist with PPAP functions both from suppliers as well as to customers.
  • Actively assist in conception and development of ‘Continuous Improvement’ functions.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of travel between plants.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, walk, talk or hear; use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or crawl; and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. (experience, training, etc.)
  • Previous experience in Quality control (Inspector/Technician) is desirable.
  • Previous experience with IATF -16949 preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
