Under the direct supervision of the Multi-site Director of Food Services manages day-to-day operations of the food service department to achieve high quality food delivery & customer service in food service department at all Berkshire Medical Center campuses.

• Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to resident / patient nutrition care and food service complying with the standards established by Berkshire Health Systems, regulatory agencies and client.
• Leads supervisors, diet technicians and patient service staff. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to patient / resident care.

Level of impact is within own operation.

• Provides oversight of diet office software menu systems and successful interface of the menu system with food production and service.
• Acts on behalf of the organization, managing supervisors and staff to ensure that menu / meal service is provided for all patients as a level consistent with department standards.
• Approves time off, vacation and weekly payroll for all foodservice staff

• 2 yrs current nutrition / food service SUPERVISORY or Leadership experience
• FOOD SERVICE EMR OR NUTRITION SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - PLEASE NOTE EXPERIENCE ON PROFILE
• High school diploma required
• Food service management education from an accredited program preferred
• Medical terminology course completion preferred
