Sunray Companies is Hiring a Director of Sales - Hotels Near Thibodaux, LA

Come grow with our Sunray Team! We are searching for a Director of Sales for our Hotels brand/division in Thibodaux, LA. The right candidate will be the face of our company and handle inside and outside sales, marketing, and provide support in an assistant manager role as needed. Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Developing and implementing strategic marketing and sales plans, as well as operating budgets.
  • In charge of ensuring our properties meet revenue goals in meeting room and guest room sales.
  • Maximizing the potential sales volume with extensive sales calls and face to face visits.
  • Reviewing and analyzing sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Maintaining and updating the branded website content with accuracy and working with marketing to update the hotel's profile, current locations, and advertising to promote the hotel.
  • Attend all required Revenue Management calls.
  • Representing the property at local events, the Chamber and CVB
  • Meeting with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating/closing deals.
  • Preparing weekly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
  • Serve as an Assistant to the General Manager and fill in on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration or Five (5) years of related hospitality or sales management experience required or equivalent

  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be able to travel or relocate.
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Strong communication and sales skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.

Education Required: Bachelor Degree preferred
