Purchasing/Inventory Assistant: Part time position working under the Facility Manager to order and purchase medical supplies as well as maintain stock for daily operations. Must have experience in purchasing and inventory control as well as experience preparing order forms, understanding invoices, working with Finance, and doing supply audits is necessary. Knowledge of life safety, fire safety, generators, and FishBowl is a plus. Addressing facility maintenance and issues when directed. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Accept daily deliveries and immediately process all incoming supplies.
· Compile incoming supply order forms from the staff for processing
· Pull and deliver the internal orders as well as delivery supplies.
· Verify all invoices and give financial the invoices to be paid
· Run the required reports as scheduled.
· Maintain inventory logs.
· Assist with special projects.
Job Specifications
· Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
· Must be able to use Excel, as well as know computers
· Must understand of Purchasing processes, terms, and follow up
· May be required to perform duties and responsibilities not listed in this description, on a temporary or long-term basis.
· May be utilized by other departments if necessary.
**Must pass drug screen and criminal background check**
Education:
· High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
· Purchasing or Inventory control experience: 1 year (Required)
· Working in a healthcare facility or ASC is beneficial
· Medical terminology a plus
Hours of Work:
Part Time: Working Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
