Summit Medical Group is Hiring a Scheduling Supervisor Near Powell, TN

Responsibilities:

Internal Medicine Associates - Powell, a division of Summit Medical Group, is seeking an Scheduling Supervisor to ensure patients are greeted, assisted, and scheduled; achieves this by supervising the staff or by handling directly, as appropriate. This is a Full-time position, working Monday - Friday.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (List does not include all duties assigned)

  • Supervises scheduling personnel to maximize efficiency and minimize errors. Handles tasks directly, if necessary, to ensure completion.
  • Ensures that staff greets and schedules patients, while verifying and updating necessary information in the medical records database.
  • Ensures that staff follows office scheduling policies, utilizes Group Management appointment scheduling and registration effectively.
  • Ensures that staff answers and screens telephone calls, provides appropriate information, takes messages accurately and distributes accordingly.
  • Ensures that other office functions, such as charge entry, are handled timely and accurately.
  • Ensures that staff processes charts, mail and other paperwork properly.
  • Provides meaningful training to staff and monitors their understanding and implementation of training.
  • Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally.
  • Resolves conflicts and coordinates coverage when needed.
  • Ensures staff adheres to established company policies and procedures, including the compliance program, and follows state and federal regulations, such as OSHA and HIPPA guidelines.
  • Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma required.

Experience: Prefer one year scheduling experience in a medical office setting. Athena experience preferred.
