Description:Job Type: Full-time/Part-time DescriptionFood and Beverage Server for Summit Hospitality Group Hotels is responsible for the coordination (order taking), delivery, and service of menu items while providing a friendly, courteous, and timely delivery response to the guest’s complete satisfaction. The Food Server may be requested to assist in the delivery of room service orders to guest rooms. RequirementsPREREQUISITES:
Knowledge and practical experience serving food and beverages for hotels/restaurants/country clubs
Demonstrated ability for reliability, high quality service, ability to function in high-pressure environments
Demonstrated ability and desire to ensure complete guest satisfaction
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in order to communicate with guests and staff
Flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends
Requirements:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures complete guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional, attentive service
Complete knowledge of all menu items. Including preparation and suggestions for pairing with beverages; focuses on up-selling to increase profits
Ensures order is complete when picking up order before delivering to guest
Responsible for table set-up within dining room work stations according to company and brand standards
May be responsible for clearing and bussing tables in the absence of the bus person
Responsible for set-up and preparation work for the next meal shift
Responsible as assigned for performing service side work to include replenishing condiments, tray and table set-up and general restocking
Responsible for supporting/assisting other Associates during peak business activities
Follows up with guest promptly when fulfilling requests
May be responsible for incoming Room Service orders, delivery to guest room, follow up clean up, and ensuring order is tabbed to guest account
May be requested to assist in preparing complimentary fruit baskets and platters
Must abide by all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to Serving Alcohol with Care to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure laws are followed without exception
Duties are subject to change and additional duties/tasks may be assigned as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
Self Serv certified
Proficient with computer input including Microsoft
Demonstrated ability to work in high pressure/fast environments in an even-tempered manner
Ability to memorize, recite, and promote a variety of menu items and beverages
Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift and transport 30lbs on a continuous basis
Standing , sitting, walking, stretching, reaching and bending for extended periods of time
Operate beverage, microwave, and toaster equipment
