Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Therapist within our Central Access, Child & Adolescents, and Outpatient programs. This position will provide direct therapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health or intellectual disability issues. Job Duties
Job Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, couples and group counseling and psychotherapy with adults and/or child and adolescents either face to face or through telehealth
Complete assessments, evaluations, diagnosis, and service planning of the population served
Submit documentation to include report writing and timely, procedurally correct recording in health information records - in both electronic and manual formats.
Serves as a consultant to other staff and community agencies regarding assessment and diagnosis, coordination of services, and referrals
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Must have the ability to treat co-occurring disorders including knowledge of group counseling techniques, family systems, and motivational interviewing
Must be able to prepare a comprehensive recovery-oriented treatment plan according to agency guidelines.
Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situation
One year of work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid driver's license is required.
Master's Degree in a human services field required.
Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling ( LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP) required
