NURSE MANAGER - MENTAL HEALTH
MAJOR FUNCTION : Responsible on a 24 hour basis for a nursing unit at one location. Serves as lead nurse for care coordination, which includes daily assignments of staff, and utilizing nursing resources, effective delivery of care to patients and execution of patient plans of care.
QUALIFICATION:
A. Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
B. Experience: At least five years of progressive experience as staff nurse or charge nurse in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or addiction required. Prefer additional preparation and expertise demonstrated in management principles and clinical nursing skills. Advanced computer skills preferred.
C. Certification/Licensure: Licensure of the State of New Jersey required. ANCC Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing or Certified Addiction Registered Nurse (CARN) preferred but required within three years.
