Primary Responsibilities This leader must value and support a culture based on respect for people. We define success by ensuring team member safety as an absolute performance requirement and driving strategies that further deliver on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost key performance indicators. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for operations within assigned shift - approximately 130 total team members
Does not desire to be the technical SME, possesses strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate the operations team
Assist in leading the efforts to implement lean manufacturing initiatives, challenges status quo always
Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to achieve production goals by solving problems and implementing error-proofing at the production processes
Actions must demonstrate commitment and belief of "continuous improvement" for personal and team development, as well as manufacturing process improvements
Facilitate team member, and supervisor training
Values employee involvement and teaches subordinates to engage at all levels - listen, communicate, and follow-up
Understands plant performance and KPI tracking, sets actions based on data that contribute to the efforts to meet or exceed KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Throughput, Labor Efficiency, First Pass Yield, and Cost Reduction.
Be fair and consistent in the disciplinary steps per the Employee Handbook guidelines and Subzero Policies
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
4-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to develop people to be competent and effective in their current roles and to prepare them for future growth opportunities
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
Self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize and organize responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related
Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts
MAPICS and/or SAP experience
OSHA requirements
Familiarity with standard quality measurements
CPR/First Responder certified
