Our client is a research and development company whose mission is to harness advanced technologies to increase our understanding of the biology that controls lifespan.

Duties:

• This person will be a part of the preclinical drug discovery and development team.
• Participate in the in-vivo and ex-vivo studies with the aim of target validation, biomarker and efficacy evaluation.
• Plenty of opportunities to work on fascinating aging diseases and oncology targets using cutting edge technologies.
• Perform basic in-vivo laboratory techniques, including blood collection, dosing, tissue processing, and euthanasia.
• Perform the following techniques: dosing (PO, IV, SQ, IP, IM, IT), blood collection, tissue collection, RFID, Tattoo, ear tag etc.
• In vivo PK/PD: Participate in the study design and execute the study in small rodent, co-ordinate with CRO for the bioanalysis (both small molecule and biologicals such as peptides and antibodies-based therapeutics).
• Provide in vivo support for efficacy studies in murine models of pathophysiology using various cutting-edge technologies (e.g.., Blood pressure measurement, Echo-MRI, ultrasound, and metabolic cage studies to assess energy expenditure, RQ etc.)
• Perform independently in vivo measurements such as GTT, ITT, motor function tests and other physiological measurement etc.
• Participate in experimental design and planning as well as assemble, set up, and operate any necessary experimental equipment.
• Conduct laboratory procedures in compliance with established protocols/plans and with regulatory and laboratory requirements.
• Document experimental data in technical notebooks or approved electronic files including activities undertaken, existing conditions, observed results and variation from expected data patterns.

Skills:

• Proficiency in basic in-vivo laboratory techniques, including blood collection, dosing, tissue processing, and euthanasia.
• Nice to have: Experience in ex-vivo analysis of tissues and biofluids using biochemical and molecular biology (ELISA, MSD, QPCR, western blot etc.,) techniques.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/ Master of Science, PhD, or Associate of Science degree in a Life Science discipline, such as biology, veterinary science, or a related field.
