What we need:

The Digital Solutions Senior Specialist (Advisor Facing Technology) will be primarily responsible for facilitating the request and review process for third party, advisor facing technology, to deliver enhanced experiences to Cetera Financial Group’s ~ 12,000 financial professionals. 

A successful candidate will coordinate and conduct the preliminary review of technology vendors, working with Digital Solutions leadership to understand and evaluate requests and determine next steps. This includes conducting research on specific vendors as well as research on the industry landscape in general. The candidate will be able to share relevant insights and findings to internal partners as the vendor moves through the review process. 

This individual will be a key member of the Digital Solutions team and will need to support a variety of key roles including metrics reporting and insights generation to partnering with other functional teams (e.g. Compliance, IT, Legal) in support of various technology reviews.

Successfully managing the simultaneous review process for many technology vendors across multiple teams will be a key attribute of this role. 

This position provides remote work as long as the success candidates is located near one of our Cetera offices such as : San Diego CA, E, Segundo, CA, Des Monies, IA, St. Paul, MN, Schaumburg IL or Dallas Texas.

What you will do:

Initial Vendor Review

  • Field vendor requests from Growth Officers, financial professionals, and other leaders throughout the organization.
  • Conduct the initial review of the technology vendor via research and live technology demonstrations.
  • Facilitate the Vendor Due Diligence Questionnaire.

Vendor Coordination

  • Assist in identifying appropriate launch owners and relevant teams needed to participate in the vendor review process. 
  • Schedule demos and other meetings with vendors and the relevant teams. 
  • Capture outcomes and next steps from demos
  • Ensure forward progress by maintaining action items and vendor review project plans. 

Metrics Tracking

  • Track overall status of the vendor review process, including number of submissions, launches, current status, and other relevant metrics. 

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technology or Senior Helpdesk experience with at least 3 years of involvement in supporting technology within the financial services industry, preferably in Wealth Management
  • 1 year of experience in technology vendor management and/ or vendor selection processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to apply a data-driven approach to comprehend the marketplace, customer needs (both end-consumer and financial advisor), and competitor offerings.
  • Proficient in understanding financial systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, collaborate, and foster trust with cross-functional teams.
  • Enthusiastic about tracking and understanding tech trends, with the capacity to interpret and apply them to inform product roadmap and innovation opportunities.
  •  Capable of working across various organizational levels and departments

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 plus competitive performance-based bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations
