Job Description We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful Trailer Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, and well-versed in all maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities:
Trailer Technicians examine, troubleshoot, and diagnose units that need repair and maintenance performed.
Install, repair, and maintain interior and exterior components on, restroom trailers, shower trailers, laundry trailers, and mobile command centers.
Duties may include but are not limited to, trailer pick up and delivery, performing pre-delivery inspections, reading, and writing of repair orders, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance and repairs to fiberglass, body and structural components and the ability to install, repair, replace and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vent, awnings, floor coverings, cabinets and electrical systems.
Technicians will be required to deliver, set up, breakdown, and return trailers before and after rentals are complete
Use of testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to repair to manufacturers' specifications
Use of manuals, catalogues, and internet search as needed to perform proper diagnostics
Use of electronic and computerized instruments to perform diagnostics
Maintain and install air conditioners, generators, jacks, stairs, plumbing components, and towing systems
Repair generators, pumps, and interior components
Clean, wash, and maintain trailers as assigned
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Tools will be provided
Essential Characteristics:
Ability and desire to obtain any Certifications and licenses that are required
Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers
Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Ability to communicate with supervisors, warranty administrators', service advisors and manufacturer representatives
Requirements:
Must be willing to work some weekends
Must be willing to travel overnight
Clean driving record

Able to work independently
Basic computer skills

Good Customer service skills
Technician Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in the RV, Automotive, or Carpentry industry with an emphasis on repairs and installations is preferred.
CDL and/or truck driving experience preferred
Must be able to comfortably hook up, tow, and back up large trailers safely
Previous experience troubleshooting Dometic and Coleman rooftop a/c preferred
Experience with repairs to both A/C 120vlt and D/C 12vlt wiring as well as electrical trailer brake system
Knowledge of on demand residential/RV water heaters and small residential type 6 gallon electric water heaters
Familiarity with PEX plumbing and working in small spaces to trace leaks and the ability to work in tight areas to make the necessary repairs.
Work Environment:
Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors and dust.
Exposure to human waste is possible.
Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
This position is indoors/outdoors and/or driving GPS monitored vehicle
Physically able to push, or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds
Physically able to get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle
Physically able to work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain and snow.)
