Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Dialysis Unit assists with providing hemodialysis treatments for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process within the scope of practice for an LPN.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera's values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate of a licensed practical nursing curriculum or its equivalent is preferred.
Prefer 6-12 months experience on Med-Surg Unit.
6 months-1 year of experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Must have current LPN licensure in the state of SD or "multi-state privilege" to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD
BLS certification within 60 days of hire
Work Schedule
Day shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
4:30 am - 5:00 pm, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
Every 3 rd weekend (Every 3rd Saturday. Sundays off)
Occasional holiday (Two holidays/year are required)
Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
