The Position
Military Security Officers provide security for Nevada National Guard facilities, armories, installations, military equipment displays, and training sites; provide protective services to federal and State property under the control of the Nevada National Guard; enforce applicable laws, regulations, and policies; and apprehend and detain offenders.
This position is for a Military Security Officer (MSO), part of the Nevada Air National Guard (NVANG). Military Security Officers provide security and law enforcement to ensure a safe and secure environment for Nevada Air National Guard personnel to perform their duties. This position supports the NVANG Reno facility. The primary purpose of this position is to protect Federal property from hazards such as sabotage, espionage, trespass, theft, fire, and accident or willful damage and destruction; to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, and protect life and civil rights within the jurisdiction of the military installation.
