This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County.

This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position performs work of an independent nature directly related to the receipt, recording, verification, storage and issuance of materials, supplies and equipment, including those of specialized nature, at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County's main warehouse operation.

The duties and responsibilities of the position are, but not limited to, the following:

Receives records, verifies and stores all shipments of materials and supplies. Checks all incoming shipments to ensure that materials received match with invoices, packing slips and purchase orders. Documents and reports all discrepancies to the Stores Manager - SES. Issues materials and supplies in response to the receipt of approved requistions and purchase orders.

Maintains a sufficient inventory of stock item materials and supplies to meet the day-to-day operational requirements of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. Notifies Stores Manager - SES , when inventories need to be re-ordered.

Coordinates and interfaces with other Florida Department of Health sections and vendors to ensure for the proper shipment, receipt, issuance and delivery of ordered materials and supplies. Assist in the process of rectifying discrepancies involving the shipment and receipt of materials and supplies to the warehouse.

Assists the Stores Manager - SES with the Florida Department of Health in Broward County's records retention and destruction process by ensuring that all official business records that are received for processing comply with handling requirements set forth in the Florida Statutes, state regulations and the Florida Department of Health in Broward County's policies and procedures.

Maintains records and other official documents through the use electronic tablets, computer systems, P-Card, MFMP and Foot Print Workorder databases.

Serves as back-up driver for delivery of mail among the various Florida Department of Health in Broward County office/clinic locations; picks up and delivers laboratory and Environmental Health specimens to the state laboratory.

Performs other related duties as may be required, assigned or directed by the Stores Manager - SES.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Basic Computers Skill, Printing & Scanning Scanners, Printing, Forklift, Walker stockers, Box Truck, Utility Cargo van, Recreational Vehicle (RV) & Perform Monthly Safety& Vehicle inspection.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience transporting mail, cash vouchers, specimens, supplies and confidential documents.

2. A valid driver's license, free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purpose.

3. Experience related to receiving, recording, verification, storage, and issuance/delivery of materials, supplies and equipment in a warehouse operation.

4. Delivery experience including but not limited to the movement of furniture and equipment, boxes

5. Able to work occasional nights and weekends as required by program needs.

6. Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* A minimum of three (3) years of systemized inventory processing including tracking, documenting, receiving, and storage of supplies, equipment, and other items.

* Six (6) months of forklift or box truck operations experience with loading and off- loading of delivery trucks.

* Experience using My Florida Market Place or equivalent government purchasing system.
