We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager (Engineer/Geologist) toserve our Bay Area remediation projects and clients. This is a full-time hybrid position is based out of our Walnut Creek, Oakland, or San Jose, CA (Bay Area) office locations. 


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately managing Bay Area projects.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with numerous challenging projects.
  • Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
  • Be capable of managing financial and technical aspects of projects.
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables.
  • Be effective in assigning and managing work.
  • Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to more junior level staff.
  • Possess skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Direct environmental field observation and testing programs.
  • Be able to effectively prepare recommendations for various remediation projects.
  • Develop a working understanding of H&A’s other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant consulting experience in the Bay Area (CA) with: environmental regulations, environmental investigation Phase 1 & 2 site assessments, remediation technologies, site characterization, and environmental engineering construction support.
  • Have CA professional registration PE/PG – or can get it within 6 months of hire - desired 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient at writing, review, and editing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
  • Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.

Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions.
