St. Vincent de Paul Village is Hiring a Payroll Analyst Near San Diego, CA

Summary
The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for assisting in processing payroll for our employees and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves data entry, record maintenance, and collaboration with the payroll team to ensure payroll accuracy.
Essential Functions
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, including calculations, manual checks, and direct deposits.
  • Review and verify timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including wage garnishments, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date payroll records, including employee files, timecards, and tax forms.
  • Generate payroll reports and spreadsheets for analysis and auditing purposes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with payroll tax filings and other payroll-related tasks as needed.
  • Accurately input and update payroll-related data, including employee information, direct deposit information, and deductions, into the payroll system.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in all payroll transactions.
  • File and store payroll documents in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to verify and reconcile payroll data.
  • Respond to employee questions and inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and timekeeping.
  • Escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing using ADP Workforce Management and/or Workforce Now.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
