St. Lukes Hospital is Hiring a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker (Part-Time, 20 Hours/Week) Near Sellersville, PA

Wellspring Clubhouse is a daytime rehabilitation program for adults with mental health challenges at St. Luke’s Penn Foundation, Sellersville, PA. Clubhouse staff work collaboratively with Clubhouse members to acquire skills and resources to achieve goals in a variety of life domains – employment, education, wellness, social, and independent living. “Clubhouse” is a specific model of rehabilitation focusing on respect, strengths, and empowerment. Central to this role is building positive relationships, a welcoming community, and engaging members in activities designed to build confidence, skills, and hope for a successful future. Complete wholistic, strength-based assessments and individual rehabilitation plans Implement strategies for facilitating goal attainment by working side-by-side with individuals to develop skills and acquire resources Establish positive and supportive relationships Engage members in the daily activities of the Clubhouse Maintain timely and accurate documentation PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Must have ability to sit for 2 total hours per day, and up to 1 total consecutive hour. Must be able to stand for 8 total hours per day and up to 2 total consecutive hours. Must be able to walk 6 total hours per day and up to 10 total consecutive minutes. Must have the ability to frequently use fingers/hands for fingering and handling. Must have the ability to use upper extremities for frequent pushing of objects up to 10 pounds and occasional pushing of objects up to 75 lbs. Must have the ability for frequent stooping and bending. Must have the ability for frequent reaching above shoulder level. Must have the ability for touching as it relates to feeling objects by touching with the skin, particularly that of fingertips. Must have the ability for hearing as it relates to normal conversation, high frequency and low frequency hearing sounds. Must have the ability for seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, color vision and peripheral vision. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree with academic concentration in a relevant field preferred or; Associates degree and one year work experience in mental health direct service or; A CPS certificate and one additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service or; High School Diploma or equivalency and two years’ work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A commitment to working with individuals with longer term mental illness Ability to teach skills individually and in small groups, link individuals to community resources, provide supportive counseling, and manage emergent issues Excellent communication and organizational skills OTHER: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license along with a driving record in compliance with St. Luke’s Penn Foundation policy.
