Responsibilities:The phlebotomist performs venipuncture and ensures the proper identification of the patient and the collection of the correct type of specimen at the appropriate time. The phlebotomist performs all specimen room activities including processing of reports, faxing, collection lists and answering phones.
Qualifications:Demonstrated proficiency in MS office suite of products. Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing, using advanced writing skills. Demonstrates knowledge of Blood and Body fluid precautions. Graduate of an approved phlebotomy program or hospital approved training conducted by a senior phlebotomist.
