Responsibilities:

Associate Attorney serving as supporting contract review counsel within the Office of Legal Affairs to assist with mission of the Office of Legal Affairs and to support the Director of Legal Affairs, or their designee, efficiently and effectively in the administration and review of the Hospitals legal agreements by internally providing professional, timely, and useful legal advice and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Director of Legal Affairs in advising and counseling management regarding various forms of contracts and other agreements.
Assist the Director of Legal Affairs in the formulation and administration of corporate policies involving contract matters.
Assists with the development and delivery of training programs for management staff involving contract matters.
Maintain records, calendar, and other data related to the Office of Legal Affairs.
Communication with other professional and support staff of the Office of Legal Affairs.
Interface with the Hospitals remote computer systems.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all legal and other matters.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
Bar admission to practice in the courts of the State of New York.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years legal experience, preferably in contract review and administration.
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
Experience working with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Outstanding problem-solving and negotiating skills with a strong detail-orientation.
Demonstrated presentation skills with the ability to present to individuals at various levels of the organization.
