To process applications for Airport Identification media and to enroll applicants for TSA Trusted Traveler clearance.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills

  • Assure the security and integrity of the Trusted Traveler Enrollment Center; restrict unauthorized access, monitor enrollment devices, and order maintenance of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Enroll applicants for Airport ID badges.
  • Ensure proper care/usage of equipment and good housekeeping practices.
  • Provide a positive customer service environment for enrollees.
  • Ensure privacy of enrollees' personal information.
  • Correctly enter applicant's and enrollees' information.
  • Obtain applicant's and enrollees' fingerprints.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED;
  • Experience operating multi-line telephone systems.
  • Experience operating computers and keyboard.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Work as a contributing member of the airport team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports..
  • Prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and use good judgment.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Present in a professional manner and with excellent interpersonal skills in order to establish effective working relationships with others.
  • Handle inquiries, comments, and complaints in a polite, professional manner
  • Read and understand rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Able to work various shifts.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to communicate via email, phone and in person. Able to operate computer, fax, telephone and other office equipment.
  • Job functions require sitting and standing for extended periods, but also involve stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and reaching.
  • Able to move about facilities & all areas of responsibility
  • Extensive wrist and hand movements required for frequent keyboarding and use of office equipment.
  • Ability to perform close work to file, read and use computer required. This requires close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus and read small print
  • Ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, and other individuals required.

Security/Safety:
  • No felony or gross misdemeanor convictions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport security badge as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
  • This is a safety sensitive position.

WORKING CONTACTS WITH OTHERS (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL):
Regular contact with the public, employees, government agency staff and management.

WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, ENVIRONMENT AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS:
Office environment.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION REQUIRED:
Personal computer and related software, phones, copier and other office equipment.
Part-time employees may be eligible to participate in the Washington State Retirement System. The Airport does provide employee assistance benefits and parking priviledges.
Part-time employees are not eligible for medical/dental benefit coverage or vacation pay. Sick leave is accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.
