Desired Traits:

* 2 years of experience in transportation design

* A good working knowledge in Microstation or OpenRoads Designer (must know how to develop elevations, profiles, and alignments of roadways)

* Experience developing exhibits, schematics, and/or construction drawings

* Experience reviewing drawings from others

Plusses:

* Experience in developing TXDOT schematic or PS&E plans.

* A good working knowledge of PowerGeoPak and/ OpenRoads Designer

* A good working knowledge of 3D modeling in PowerGeopak/InRoads and/or OpenRoads

Day-to-day :

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Transportation CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microstation and experience in roadway design.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing 3D Models and Schematics: You will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models and schematics of roadway projects using CAD software. This includes creating accurate and detailed designs that meet project specifications.

2. Collaboration: Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to create innovative solutions regarding roadway design. This includes participating in design discussions and providing technical input.

3. Meeting Deadlines: Complete tasks in a timely manner to meet project deadlines. This requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Creating Cutting Sheets and Reference Profiles: Prepare cutting sheets and create reference profiles for roadway projects. This involves interpreting engineering sketches and plans, and transforming them into a set of drawings.

Compensation:

$35hr to $40hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
