In this role, you will provide direct support to our Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure the organizations revenue growth objectives are met. This role will be the primary point of contact for BDMs to initiate and complete tasks associated with the management of their territories and travel agency accounts.

A successful Sales Support Specialist will:

The Sales Support Specialist will complete various duties, including data entry and case management in Salesforce, reporting functions, competitive data collection, administration of agency agreements, collection of engagement plans and proof-of-performance, coordinating in-market sales activities and communications, managing contact lists, and more. Additionally, this position will work closely with customer care teams to resolve escalated service issues and provide end-to-end service for travel agencies and our mutual customers. The Sales Support Specialist role will also serve as the administrative point of contact for the WAVES loyalty program, managing the programs e-mail box.

This individual will be responsible following established processes and making ongoing improvements to ensure efficiency and consistency in our execution. The Sales Support Specialist will work with many departments in the organization to achieve the teams objectives.

* Respond to inquiries from travel agency distributors and direct service issues to the appropriate department

* Elevate service issues as needed for timely resolution with strong follow-up communication

* Document activities, manage service cases, and run reports in Salesforce

* Update, send and maintain annual agreements and engagement plans for accounts and track proof-of-performance for agency marketing spend

* Monitor and document competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and meetings

* Be proficient in using Business Intelligence sales reporting tools

* Have excellent verbal and written communication with key accounts; be responsive to agent needs and issue resolution with timely follow-up

* Follow established processes to request promo codes, prize letters and commission agreements

* Provide administrative support for market events, including developing invite lists, managing RSVPs, shipping collateral and running production reports

* Coordinate with the Marketing team on engagement tactics and collateral production as needed to support agency marketing plans and events

* Distribute monthly scorecards to travel agencies, and other production and earnings updates

* Manage inbound e-mails related to the WAVES loyalty program, respond to inquiries, assist with password reset and point reconciliation

* Run post-event production reporting to assist with BDM account follow-up

* Assist with planning sales blitzes and other in-market activities that may include ordering collateral, organizing supplier participation, setting up call patterns and follow-up reporting

* Interact effectively with internal and external team members, partners and suppliers

* Be proficient in navigating our travel agency booking technology, VAX VacationAccess.

* Act as primary back-up contact when assigned BDM is out of the office

**Education**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or at least one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry and/or TMTC company experience preferred

**Qualifications**

* Clerical Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, managing files and records

* Technical Utilization of technology and reporting tools to support all key functions; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

* Time Management Ability to manage and prioritize a large workload based on business impact and ROI

* Customer Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing end-to-end service to exceed the expectations of our travel agent distributors

* Learning from Past Experience Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making

* Judgment and Decision-Making Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

* Travel may be required up to 5% of the time by plane or car to attend functions and meetings.

* Active Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate

* Critical Thinking Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

* Deductive Reasoning The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense

* Inductive Reasoning The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions

* Written Communication The ability to read, understand and communicate ideas in writing
