PURCHASING COORDINATOR
We are a progressive procurement organization pushing the boundaries of traditional procurement reputation and methodologies. We seek individuals who can think outside the box to achieve company objectives regarding value and partnerships with our suppliers. Our organization moves quickly, and you must too. This individual will be an integral member of our purchasing team who ensures the team operates as efficiently as possible. The purchasing team has aggressive objectives for 2024 that positively impact our product and bottom line. We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.
ResponsibilitiesIssue 30 purchase orders per day quickly and without error
Issue and manage blanket purchase orders for over $10 million in annual spending against existing service agreements
Communicate directly with stakeholders and critical suppliers regarding order fulfillment
Answer purchasing-related questions for internal customers across multiple departments
Determine the most cost-effective delivery methods for orders
Resolve invoice discrepancies related to shipping and receiving to ensure that vendors are paid on time
Support sourcing specialists in cost savings initiatives
Lead miscellaneous procurement projects

1 years of professional purchasing experience
Basic Excel skills
Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
Quick learner and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
Excellent customer service skills
Process improvement mindset
Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
Additional RequirementsMust be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
This position is based in Hawthorne, CA (Los Angeles area), and requires being onsite full-time - hybrid and remote work will not be considered
Compensation And BenefitsPay range:
Purchasing Coordinator: $27.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
